This course serves as an introduction to Dance History. This course focuses on techniques studied and their origins. This course includes: Ballet (Vaganova, Cecchetti & Balanchine styles), Erick Hawkins, Paul Taylor, Martha Graham, Lester Horton/Alvin Ailey and Joseph Pilates. The content includes, text, video links, PowerPoint presentations’, and a quiz, midterm, final and final project.
